The name ‘Mishrambu’ was given by Sitar Virtuoso Pandit Ravi Shankar born in Varanasi was a renowned Indian musician and composer,best known for his mastery of the sitar and for introducing Indian classical music to the West. Mishrambu means – JAL MISHRIT PEYA
The packaging of Mishrambu plays an integral role in its popularity. In its early days, the syrup was sold in used bottles of beer. Later, uniform white bottles were introduced. With the passage of time, and the increasing demand of Thandai Late Shri Aruna Nand Dubey son of Shri Sachida Nand Dubey thought of commercialising Thandai and spread its wings outside Varanasi. Later Shri Aruna Nand Dubey with his wife Smt. Ganga Dubey laid the foundation stone of Mishrambu Products by setting up a factory in the outskirts of Varanasi.
Over the decades, Mishrambu has cemented its place in India and Abroad. From being an essential part of Holi to a childhood favorite for generations, its influence extends beyond just being a beverage. The drink’s versatility has allowed it to be used in a variety of culinary creations including firni, milkshakes, ice creams, Kheer, Lassi, Kulfi and even fusion desserts like cheesecakes and lattes.
“Mishrambu Products was the first to introduce Thandai and other dry fruit based drinks in glass bottles.” In early 70’s, Late Shri Aruna Nand Dubey handed over the Legacy of Mishrambu Products to his four sons, Where they chose their areas of interest in business.
It's 2025 and Mishrambu, also known as "Real Nuts Roya Taste," is still going strong. This drink has seen India's partition and continues to provide relief and calm during hot summers or humid climates. “It is the quality of the product,” says Shri Sarvada Nand Dubey, Managing Director, Mishrambu Beverages Private Limited. “Once you take a sip, you become aware of its quality,” he mentions.
Currently, fourth generation of the family has been introduced in the business. And the quest for growth and innovation continues…….
